Welcome to Student Activities!

The Student Activities Center at Florida State University is more than just a place. The Student Activities Center serves as a guide for Florida State students in molding and creating their FSU experience.

The Student Activities Center believes that student involvement outside of the classroom contributes to important learning gains and a well rounded college experience that prepares students for life after graduation.

The Student Activities Center hopes to serve as a catalyst to engage and involve students by:

providing advising, training and mentoring to student leaders and advisors
inspiring students to become active members of the campus and community
creating programs that foster interactions among the diverse members of the University community
maintaining lively spaces and resources for student-focused initiatives that enrich our campus culture
designing and supporting programs, venues and resources that cultivate student expression
engaging student leaders to discover new knowledge that will enable them to critically evaluate evidence, make informed judgments, balance multiple perspectives and act ethically

Seminole Discovery

The Student Activities Center is excited to announce Seminole Discovery for summer 2012!

The event will run from 11:30 am — 2:30 pm each date on the Oglesby Union Green.

Spring Fling is Friday, April 13th

The annual Spring Fling is here! Come to the Union Green this Friday, April 13th, to enjoy carnival rides, games, face painting, and more! There will also be live music from the Seminole Swing Machine, as well as food vendors including Dog et al and Lucy & Leo’s Cupcakery.

In addition to the Carnival on the green, there will also be Paint-a-Pot and blacklight sidewalk chalk in the Union Courtyard, After the Smoke & Howler Monkey Comedy Troupe in Club Downunder, and Cosmic Bowling in Crenshaw Lanes. The Student Life Cinema will be playing “The Adventures of Tin Tin”, and the FSU Flying High Circus will present their Spring Home Show, “Around the World”, at 8:00pm under the new Big Top in the Haskins Circus Complex.

This year will feature an expanded Kids Zone from 7:00pm-9:30pm in the Askew Student Life Center Courtyard, co-sponsored by the Student Life Cinema and the Congress of Graduate Students.
