Welcome To ABC:

Alternative Break Corps creates an opportunity for college students to serve in diverse communities during their spring break or summer vacation. Alternative Break Corps is a service organization at the Florida State University that promotes community service, team building and social awareness to college students by reaching out to disadvantaged communities. Alternative Break Corps would like to provide members with an experience that will motivate them to lifelong active citizenship.

Alternative Break Corps is a local chapter of the nationally recognized Break Away program. The mission of Break Away is to train and assist student volunteers on college campuses and then connect them with needy communities. Break Away has 95 chapter schools in the United States and links members to more than 250 nonprofit organizations. The Break Away headquarters, along with Alternative Break Corps, is located at the Center for Leadership and Civic Education, 930 W. Park Ave., Tallahassee, Florida
